Nov 29, There isn't. TJ is right, it would fall under the 'act of god' category just like if it were to happen in a parking lot at Wal-Mart. I used to work for an apartment that once had a tree fall through the roof of an apartment. Like, straight into the kids bedroom (thankfully, no one was home).
Dec 06, My car was parked at my apartment complex and a rotted tree fell on my car. I spoke with a Travelers Insurance agent and he told me that the complex is liable for my damage since they knew the tree was rotted and never cut it down. The problem is that it has been 4 months since it happened and they still have not fixed my car.
As for having to move, this is one of the fallacies that is so often brunted about by others.
What can I do? Oct 10, A large tree within my apartment complex fell on top of my car. Shouldn't the apartments be held liable for the cost of damages? The tree limb was about ft. long, smashing the back window entirely, denting the hood, and breaking the front window as well.
Tree fell on car in Apartment complex. Hi, So a few weeks ago I was parked in my sisters apartment complex while we took her car to the park with her kids. When we came back there was a giant tree branch that snapped and landed on my car, caving in the roof and denting it all over the place.

My insurance covered the rest of what I owed on the car. Jan 07, Last night at abouta ft tree in my apartment complex fell on my car. Obviously I was upset, it's the nicest car I've ever had, but somebody told me that the complex may be responsible for it.
I have full coverage on my car and have.
